Leanne McPake, BSc (Hons), MSc
Leanne is a horse lover through and through. With nearly 20 years in animal welfare and a Master’s degree in Equine Nutrition under her belt, she knows her stuff — but more importantly, she knows the horse world doesn’t need more complicated advice, it needs someone who can make sense of it all.

Leanne graduated from Glasgow University in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Science before heading out to New Zealand and Australia, where she worked in racing and youngstock thoroughbred production before returning to Scotland to begin a, now 15-year-long, career in Equine Welfare.

Having always had a passion for equine welfare and keen interest in nutrition and land management, Leanne decided to further her qualifications and graduated from the University of Glasgow with a MSc in Animal Nutrition, specialising in Equine Nutrition, in 2024.

Aside from her qualifications and professional career, Leanne is first and foremost, a horse lover. Having owned horses for the majority of her life, she has enjoyed both competitive and leisure riding, so she can strongly relate to the struggles that a lot of horse owners face from the never ending vet bills to pulled shoes and broken fencing!
